Got a call from a person I used to work with saying their comms person was out for a couple weeks and they needed someone to help them put together some videos for a short-run campaign to get people to submit public comments about the importance of safe healthcare. The Trump Administration is trying to pervert the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health & Human Services by allowing health care providers to refuse to provide care and treatment to patients when they have a ‘religious objection’. Everyone deserves a safe environment for getting their care!
I get a little fired up because trans health non-discrimination policy implementation at regional and local levels was my niche in my 4 years at Transgender Law Center.
So, this was a perfect opportunity to get back into the game but with my new hat on.
